Utilizing field-changeable AC plugs, the new AA20R adapter series is compact and meets the U.S. Department of Energy’s and European Union’s efficiency regulations for external power suppliesFremont, CA (June 04, 2020) — Phihong, a leading global supplier of OEM power solutions, has announced the introduction of its new 20W Interchangeable Plug Adapter Series with single outputs of 12V, 24V and 48V. The AA20R Series is compliant to the U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE VI) efficiency regulations for external power supplies, the European Union’s ErP/Ecodesign Directive (Regulation EU 2019/1782) for external power supplies, and Australia’s Greenhouse and Energy Minimum Standards Act of 2012 for external power supplies. Additionally, the series meets the European Union’s more stringent and voluntary Code of Conduct Version 5 Tier 2 efficiency requirements.

With an AC input voltage range of 100V to 240V, the AA20R adapters are approved as Limited Power Sources, are equipped with short circuit, over-voltage and over-current protection features, and comply with FCC Class B and CISPR 32 Class B emissions standards. Bearing cULus, CE, and RCM safety approvals, the AA20R adapters offer OEM manufacturers a single cost-effective external power solution to power their devices in North America, the European Union, the United Kingdom, Australia, and New Zealand. The adapters measure 2.85” x 2.0” x 1.85” (L x W x H), weigh 146g, are terminated with a 2.1mm x 5.5mm x 9.5mm center positive barrel connector and are ideal for use in multiple applications, including wireless communications, networking peripherals, and portable equipment.
